Dark Sector Webisode 4 (QT/HD)
This new trailer form Dark Sector gives a brief a outline of the game’s premise. Basically, you somehow get infected with a virus that is slowly taking over your body, forcing you inject yourself with a partial antidote periodically. On the plus side, the infection gives you a glaive, which you can fling at enemies and infuse with elements such as fire and electricity. So with your newfound abilities, you set off to take down a whole bunch of baddies. It’s an interesting twist on the third-person shooter formula, but I don’t know if it’s interesting enough to really make it stand out much.

Sniper: Art of Victory TrailerThe above trailer showcases Sniper: Art of Victory. We can’t even begin to count the number of World War II games on the market, but we can’t think of many where the sniper plays the primary role. Sniper: Art of Victory was developed and published by CITY Interactive and it has a lot of people talking. You take the role of a World War II sharpshooter in some of the most important missions and battles of the entire war.
Unlike many other war games with sniping capabilities, Art of Victory boasts a unique and advanced ballistic system, where you have to utilize wind and gravity to take out the enemy with various realistic sniper rifles from the era. The unique shooting system also requires you to take breathing and concentration factors into account. It’s been a while since we’ve seen a game with realistic sniping like you’ll find in this title. We hope you enjoy the trailer!

Ubisoft today announced that Far Cry 2 will be coming to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 sometime in fiscal 08-09.
My main question is the same one I had back when they decided to port the original Far Cry to the console, how the hell is that going to work? The PC version of Far Cry 2 looks spectacular and the build I saw in Leipzig did some incredible things, things that may or may not be doable on a console.
Check the entire, short release, on the jump.

Avalanche Studios’ Just Cause was only somewhat warmly received, but if the developer’s second take on the open world adventure can make good on its gameplay promises, they might have a chance at franchise(!). Like some of last year’s best-loved titles —Crysis, Uncharted—Just Cause 2 looks like it’s going to be lauded for, if nothing, it’s fantastic jungle foliage. It also features a bad buy named “Baby.” Let’s just hope it arrives before the jungle game backlash. CVG has an early preview on the Eidos-published sequel, loaded with new screens and artwork.

This new trailer for Frontlines: Fuel of War is basically a tutorial for how to use the squad command system. Even though the game will have you fighting as part of a large force, you’ll be able to pick out individuals to form your own squad to complete objectives. Then you pretty much control them like any other squad-based game, telling them to attack a target, defend, or hold position. I never really tried this in the Xbox Live demo myself, but it was just a demo after all. Besides, I was having too much fun raining death on enemies with a remote-controlled attack chopper.
