Grand Theft Auto IV Coming April 29

Yes, April 29, 2008.

Much to my (pleasant) surprise, Rockstar has today announced that Grand Theft Auto IV is going to be released on April 29, 2008. I’m shocked, to be honest, as I was pretty certain that the game was going to be pushed back until the later half of the year – but I couldn’t be happier to have a release date attached to the game, and one that is just over three months away.

With a newly lifted embargo out of the way, 1UP has posted a lengthy preview that looks at the game’s new combat and mission systems – two areas that needed a real overhaul for GTA IV.
